Amazon has launched a new subscription plan in India called Amazon Prime Lite membership, offering a more affordable alternative to the regular Prime subscription. This Lite tier provides many of the same benefits as the standard subscription but at a lower cost. In this article, we’ll explore the price, features, and limitations of the Amazon Prime Lite membership.

Enjoy Essential Prime Features at a Lower Price

The Amazon Prime Lite membership costs only Rs 999 per year, making it cheaper than the regular Prime subscription. Despite the reduced price, subscribers can still avail themselves of free two-day delivery, which is the same as the standard Prime membership. However, same-day and one-day delivery options are exclusive to the regular Prime subscription. Prime Lite members can enjoy free no-rush shipping to eligible addresses and receive a cashback of Rs 25. Additionally, for eligible addresses, Morning Delivery is available at a cost of Rs 175 per item, compared to Rs 50 per item in the standard Prime subscription. However, free standard delivery in the Lite tier does not require a minimum order value.

Early Access to Lightning Deals and Prime Video Streaming

Similar to Prime members, Prime Lite subscribers gain early access to Lightning deals, exclusive Lightning deals, and the Deal of the Day. Moreover, the Prime Lite membership includes unlimited access to the Prime Video streaming service. However, there are certain limitations, such as streaming in High Definition (HD) quality with ads and usage restricted to two devices simultaneously.

Differences Compared to the Standard Prime Subscription

Prime Lite members do not have access to Prime Reading and Amazon Music streaming services. Furthermore, they cannot enjoy Prime Video streaming in up to 4K quality, benefit from no-cost EMI on products, avail of 6-months free screen replacement, access Amazon family offers, or enjoy gaming offers. These features are exclusive to the more expensive plan
